I am from Prishtinë and as much against greeks as i am shkije. Maybe i automatically feel more hate for shkije but i despise greeks just as much.
As Minotti said nothing good will come from seperation but with unification we strengthen. The real fans like the TKZ will support only Albania but as you said if Kosova did play serbia then we would all turn up in supportni think.

I also wonder how the fifa process works.

It's a legal matter with UEFA. I don't see how FYROM and Presheva Albos will play with Kosova, unless they have a grandparent from there or something, or they haven't been capped in youth levels.

Not really, it's a matter of Kosova's citizenship laws. If someone can get Kosovar citizenship they'd be eligible to play for the team. Not sure how much time do these players have to switch teams if they've already been capped by another NT.

Thank god for our Prishtina (the city, not the team :P ). You live there? Im also from Prishtina. Flamurtari kf is one of my fav team, mostly cause its been in the family. My father and uncle played for them. My uncle was one of the founding members, he actually came up with the name Flamurtari and got arrested for that along with the others. Shkije...

The UEFA thing was interesting because a lot of countries that have recognized Kosovo as a state voted against it becoming a UEFA member.
50% +1vote to get admited.
Anyway here you find more details about the procedures: http://www.fifa.com/about-fifa/news/y=2 ... 80780.html

Ps. Look at Palestine being a FIFA member but not UN member.

Montenegro had from 2 to 5 years time to convert any player of Montenegrin herritage to play Montenegro . Probably the same will be applied to Kosova.

Basha had Albanian citizenship 2 years before he was eligible to play for our NT. We had to go to UEFA court and bargain for a long time to have Kosovars with Swisss U21 experience to play for us. If they haven't played for another NT's youth team, it's easier, but if they have it's not as simple as handing out passports.

Haha the team sucks at the moment. I'm from Prishtina but live in London, good to see other Prishtinali keeping up our patriotism, i feel the Plisa do a good job of keeping the youth very patriotic as you can see with the basketball team. That's really interesting about the name, the shkije did all they could to opress Albanians expressing themselves. This is why we should always fight to be united with Albania as this is what we are, and this is what the shkije would hate to have happen. I don't think a independent Kosova bothers them, a united Albania however kills them.

We can be as emotional and passionate about this all day, but ultimately it comes down to this.
You cannot get together with the love of your life before the divorce with her abusive husband is fully settled and she is able to make her own decisions. Anything before that is just an affair.
My perspective is different. I couldn't care less about the Rashicas or Berishas of this world as all I care about is the ultimate goal. Nobody can call me unpatriotic as they don't know anything about me, and if we are to generalise I can throw back 100 at anyone from Kosova and around 300 to anyone from RA. (As I know them better).
This is a good step and I hope FIFA is next as that's the last step. Then the proof will be in the pudding as the decision will be "ours". And if history has told us anything we "thrive" on making the best decisions when it comes to the overall Albanian dream on anything. Who will we blame then?
My guess is we will do as always, go back to what we do best. Regional bashing. I'm gonna go with Lac and Fushe-Kruje myself

Haha yea they suck at the moment and have done so for years if Im not mistaken. Though it would be nice to see them and Prishtina become top teams once again. And I agree about Plisat. I absolutely adore them and what they do, couldnt be more proud with them. We need more movements that have the same philosophy.
