At least Kosova has the infrastructure for winter games but you're right, it doesn't make sense even for Albania to sent 6 people in Beijing for 20 days with only one ski Athlete. Kosova on the other hand does it for image and recognition.

The thing is our country is mostly mountains so if we wanted to we go easily be a place for ski resorts but like most things we can't take advantage of our natural talents due to corruption

So this Albanian ranked 28th out of 89 competitors and was the best u21 rider. Actually not too bad . Well done to the kid

That synthetic snow and the bad weather conditions forced a lot of skii athletes to interrupt their run like Danny’s first giant slalom race.

We also have Kevin Qerimi (16 years old) who practices Alpine Skiing.

Unfortunately we don’t have a single skiing complex or indoor iceskating arenas in Albania….

Unfortunately we don’t have a single skiing complex or indoor iceskating arenas in Albania….

We have both but they're basic. Dardhe has skiing resorts, and for ice skating you can find rinks inside a number of malls.
