Nope, because they're not named after a corporation. I supported the Metrostars for 10 years, but I gave up on them after they were renamed the NY Red Bulls.
I don't like Man City but that's not gonna stop me from supporting a local MLS team. It's not like they're named Manchester City USA. Ideally I'd support the Cosmos but they don't play in MLS and they can't get promoted to MLS either.

Scored the first goal in a 3-0 victory over Sydney FC. Legend. How I wish he were still playing for us. Definitely could have used him in our first push for qualifying for a big tourney.
