That's why Broja was so unique. He had the height and the athleticism to go with it but the ACL injury ruined his career and potential.
Height is literally the defining characteristic of the Slavic teams..

If you watched the game, South Korea dominated Czechia but anytime there was a set piece, the danger was real!

Czechia should have gotten a draw there with 2 goals (both headers) off a throw in and a free kick (called offside by a hair, questionable).

Bosnia much the same.. dominated in gameplay by the athletic players from Canada but big man Jovo Lukic put them up with a header off a corner.

By the way, domestic product Jovo Lukic now playing in the Romanian league was much more dangerous for them than their “top leaguer” diaspora product Ermedin Demirovic just based off size alone.

Even when these teams play Albania, you can feel their danger off the set pieces.

Albania poses 0 danger on set pieces..

Further Japan tied to Netherlands despite being physically shorter on average than the Dutchman per average. Czechias midfielders are tall as well yet they kept losing to South Korea.

We should stop the weird height complex comparison to Slavs. We somehow managed to deal with Serbs who also had taller players than us. While difference not being that big either.

There are other abilities and aspects that win you games and height isn‘t really that of a big issue nowadays.
I’m not saying the Slavs can’t be beat because they are tall..

Personally, I don’t see anybody beating Mexico..

They are not the tallest team but very well balanced.

Mexico can play fast, but they can play slow too when needed..

Athletic players from one of the strongest domestic leagues in the world..

They can play with the ball.. they have players who are dangerous aerially too.

Mexico is the complete package!

The advantage of playing at home and at altitude pushes them over the top for me..

It's crazy how similar in mentality Africans are with Albanians. Champions when it comes to performative nonsense and people will eat it up..

In the last 2 games Turkey had 62 shots on goal, at least 70% possession and finished with 0 goals.

They played without a striker. A small winger like Akturkoglu was their #9 and it was comedy watching him run around like a headless chicken. That's just terrible coaching. There is no way a country like that can't even field an average striker.

Imagine if they had Vedat Muriqi. (he was very close to joining them)

Also this Arda Guler has to be the most overrated player ever. This is no Real Madrid player.

I don’t like how much hype UEFA teams got pre-tourney..

Americans for example had underestimated their own team and are now surprised by how well they have been doing.

It’s 2026, every continent has good football!

North America is on the come up big time. South America always tough. Africa tough. Asia has good teams too. Australia r16 last World Cup, can’t be underestimated.

Turkey might have been good in Europe but the world stage is a different beast!

This world cup has been very low level in general. You can see by the low quality of goals. Don't think we've see one beautiful goal so far which is very uncommon for international tournaments.

No one has looked particularly impressive. I think expanding it to so many teams is hurting the quality because the big teams are half assing the group stage knowing they will advance regardless. The rest is all a collective mediocrity.

The South Americans have been meh. Ecuador, Paraguay and Uruguay have looked very mediocre.

Morocco can go far from the African teams. That's about it. Japan I think has a lot of injuries which is hurting their chance of carrying Asia.

USA has looked good and I saw somewhere that they could have a cakewalk road in the knockouts by facing Bosnia, New Zealand and teams like that. They could even go to the semi finals if they are lucky with the draw. Mexico is alright... won't go far.
