With memories of the golden years (80's) of the albanian football still fresh on her mind, Albania is now attempting to recreate its strong football legacy. As young players start making their names abroad, the future is looking bright for Albanian football!
But in all seriousness maybe we should host the big nations in that match to get them out of their comfort zone with the patchy grass, cold showers, dysfunctional facilities, etc. Have an "accidental" power outage like the time AC milan played in Tirane in the 30th minute to get the Spanish team shook.
most of those games were pointless friendlies anyway. i'd say better late than never, although wish the capacity was around 40k, but that's wishful thinking on my part. maybe when my grandkids get elected PM we'll finally get the stadium we deserve.
I went to Loro Boriçi yesterday and i have a lot of praise for what they did there. Pur politicians get alot of stick, they deserve it, but Loro Boriçi is a beauty. Each one of the fan groups got a sector (those divided parts of the stadium) starting from the left it was Ballistet, Illyrian Elite, Plisat (number one for this game, as in loudest and made their presence know the most). It looked like a real modern stadium.
